Liberty Hall Museum ​

 If you love American history, you'll want to visit the Liberty Hall Museum in Union, New Jersey. This historic house is filled with treasures from the time of Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson. It also boasts some of the state's oldest trees and formal English parterre gardens. You can tour a number of rooms and enjoy the exhibits, including Victorian fashions. The museum is open to the public and is free of charge.
With more than 200 years of history, Liberty Hall Museum offers an immersive experience. Originally a fourteen-room Georgian house, it was home to New Jersey's first elected governor and soon after expanded into a five-story mansion. It's been the place of residence for several important people, including Presidents George Washington, Herbert Hoover, Gerald Ford, and Ulysses S. Grant. The museum also features artifacts and antiques from several generations.

The Liberty Hall Museum is located on the campus of Kean University in Union, New Jersey. The location is convenient for visitors, as it's only two miles from the Main Campus and the East Campus. The Liberty-Hall building houses an extensive collection of pottery and furniture. The museum also features a rare 1911 American LaFrance Metropolitan Steam Engine. Despite its small size, the museum's diverse collection of treasures will surely leave you spellbound.

The story of Senator John Kean, a nephew of Captain John Kean, inspired the restoration of Liberty Hall. The museum has a maze on its grounds and an elegant English parterre garden. While visiting the Liberty-Hall Museum, you can enjoy the scenery and view the unique collections of antiques. You can also explore the stories of the Livingston and Kean families. You'll be amazed by the countless historical facts and the beautiful decor!
The Liberty Hall Museum is a fascinating and historically important museum in the city of Elizabeth. Founded by William Livingston in 1772, the museum chronicles 240 years of American history. The building is home to the Firehouse Museum, which features three antique fire engines. In addition to private events, the museum offers public tours and group reservations for groups of 10 or more guests. A few of the most popular dates are listed below.
The museum is open to the public and offers guided house tours. However, be aware that Governor Murphy recently removed the mandatory mask requirement in the state of New Jersey.
