A plumbing system is an important part of our home, without a plumbing system, we won’t have a flushing toilet, a hot water, or a running water to reach our faucets. A plumbing system carries clean water to our faucets then discharges them through the drainage system. It consists of a lot of pipes. And when time passes these pipes get polluted with different kinds of fragments.
Sometimes we don’t notice that we dispose of solid waste in our drainages that could lead to clogging. When a pipe gets too polluted, it could lead to clogging and we don’t want that. But even if we are disciplined and aware to not dispose of solid wastes in our drainage system, we still have to clean our plumbing systems from time to time, because calcium build-ups are occurring in our pipes too - and it naturally happens. But you can prevent it by cleaning your pipes consistently. That’s why we are able to gather some information on how to clean your plumbing system by yourself with these DIY cleaning solutions. Take note, before applying your solutions to your pipes or drainage systems, shut off your water source. But before or after you shut your water off, make sure to turn off your water heater so it won’t burn up or explode. After shutting down your water source, empty the pipes by turning on all faucets. Vinegar and baking soda mixture Gather 1 cup of vinegar and 1 tablespoon of baking soda then mix. After successfully making the solution pour the solution into your pipe. Lemon and apple cider vinegar Get 1 lemon and extract its juice, then mix it together with 1 cup of apple cider vinegar. After, pour the mixture into your drainage system. This solution work just like the vinegar and baking soda mixture. Hot water and liquid detergent Grease build-ups also develop inside our pipes, especially our sinks where we wash our greasy dishes. Apply 2 tablespoons of liquid detergent into 2 cups of hot water then mix completely. After acquiring the solution, pour the solution into your drainage system. This solution melts grease build ups in your pipes. Take note, avoid using boiling hot water. Boiling hot water could damage your pipes especially drainage pipes made of plastic. Calcium and rust remover solution Get 1 cup of calcium and rust remover solution then mix with 1 cup of water. After having your solution, pour it into your drainage system or pipes. This solution eliminates calcium build ups in your pipes. Take note, do not pour this solution into a pipe that leads to a water storage. This solution is high in chemical contents and you don’t want them to end up in your tap. Remember, it is better to use the chemical solutions for drainage systems only, so the solution automatically ends up in the drainage. And after pouring these solutions, turn on your water supply then turn on all your water faucet, by this you would be able to drain the solutions properly. Visit Us On Facebook!
